Tiger Woods

Recently Mr. Woods was involved in a car accident that police attribute to "reckless driving." There were no injuries to anyone as Woods hit a tree and a fire hydrant. While this is not a big deal, it seems that the media is making a big deal out of it, and therefore i am adding it to this blog because of that. As i read the article on BBC World News, (found at here,) it reminds me of other articles i have read on the subject. Such articles give mention to a possible affair that Tiger Woods may be having, which he denied on his personal website (http://web.tigerwoods.com/index). Due to injury from the accident, Woods claims he cannot play, and therefore has dropped out of his own tournament, the Chevron World Challenge.

  1. Tiger was injured in the wreck. Some believe his wife beat him because he was cheating on her.

  2. I seriously can't believe how long this stuff has been on the news... can't they find a real story already?

  3. Why is it our job to harass Tiger on this? Even if it is a domestic dispute, it's not our business AT ALL to be trying to get involved in Tiger's personal life. He's an athlete, albeit the most-payed of all time, but he's not a socialite bimbo. Let's leave him alone!

  4. Tiger is cool, as Natalie said. I concur with the aforementioned post.

  6. I really don't think news agencies understand that people don't care about useless celebrity gossip on national television. Yet, celebrity stories continue to get the most air time. News agencies wouldn't spend so much time on celebrities if they didn't get viewership. Sadly, it looks like a lot of people don't have a life of their own and cling to celebrity news more than real news. :(

  7. Well, what sells is what on TV. But it is a shame how much president the shameless gossip, mayhem and destruction and flat out lies are on the "news" (the last part is you Fox). Take the MJ funeral. Of course he deserved some air time, but a whole freaking month across the globe (i was in china and that was on all the news networks, English and Chinese, 24/7). And though there are options like 60 Minuets, there should be more, and not just the typical "oh, there were x murders today and some country was devastated by a natural disaster" i think that there should be a more positive tone

  8. Well, media is driven by profit like everything else. If we really want to change how this works, I suggest joining the Communist Party or never buying another copy of the National Enquirer again.
